Banking & Finance Paralegal

Messerli & Kramer P.A. seeks a highly skilled, team oriented paralegal for our Banking & Finance group. This position is in our downtown Minneapolis office and reports directly to a Shareholder and offers a high level of responsibility and client contact. The successful candidate must have 10 years or more extensive experience in workforce housing financing, including tax credits, government financing, limited partnerships and other organizational structures and multiple layers of financing usually associated therewith. The candidate should have a solid background in drafting and reviewing loan documents, reviewing due diligence, including title, survey, environmental, leases, management agreements, organizational documents and construction documents, and must be comfortable taking the lead on projects, as necessary. Candidates must have solid organizational skills, excellent communication skills, high motivation and the ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task.

This position is located in our downtown Minneapolis office, reports directly to the president and offers a high level of responsibility and leadership contact. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 10 years HR experience including 5 years of HR leadership experience within a professional services or law firm environment. Areas of expertise in compensation, benefits administration and management, employee relations, performance management, recruiting and selection. The candidate should have a solid background in drafting and reviewing performance summaries, job notifications, employee and vendor contracts, policies and procedures, management agreements, organizational documents and must be comfortable taking the lead on projects, as necessary. Candidates must have solid organizational skills, excellent communication skills, high motivation, and the ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task.  PHR certification required and SPHR certification progress preferred.
